Do you need adapters for electric devices in Mexico?

They use the same voltage and plugs as the US. However, many places have only 2-wire outlets, so take an adapter for that if you will need it. almost 7 years ago

what's the best souvenir from San Francisco and Los Angeles you can get?

Most souvenirs from SF are edible ( chocolate, sour dough bread), so maybe the best remembrance might be a photo of you in front of the Golden Gate Bridge taken from the Marin Headlands, just above the north anchorage of the bridge. As far as LA, save your trip money. There are some nice museums, but not worth the hassle of being in LA, as far as I'm concerned. Use your LA time and money, rent a car in SF and drive down the coast to Big Sur. You will be a lot happier with your trip overall. about 7 years ago

Any recommendations for accomodations in Manuel Antinio Costa Rica. Would like ocean view, with terrace. Nice pool and clean.

I don't think you can beat the costa verde. 2nd or 3rd floor above the pool. about 7 years ago

Manuel Antonio costa rica, any suggestions for accomodations for 4women traveling together, each wanting their own bed?

I remember 3 large beds with plenty of left over floor space for a 4th at Costa Verde overlooking the park. Their motto "more monkeys than people" is not an exaggeration. about 7 years ago

What to do in Belize for a one day visit from a cruise ship.

If you are interested in birds, rent a car (driving is easy in Belize) and go up to the Crooked Tree nature reserve. Hire a boat and guide and take a trip thru the lake and mangroves. You will see most of the world's supply of Jabaru Storks, among others. Altun Ha is a good visit if you haven't seen Maya ruins. Skip the city. almost 8 years ago

What to do in the Santa Cruz area California for fun?

Not much direction there, Elise. Eat on the wharf at Gilda's, walk the cliffs at the lighthouse and West Cliff Drive, visit one of the many State Park beaches, take in something at the Kuumbwa Jazz center, visit Long Marine Lab and see one of 4 blue whale skeletons in the country, ride the narrow gauge in Felton, go to the Mystery Spot for spookiness, hang out on Pacifc Garden Mall for coffee and weird little shops, walk in one of the 3 local redwood state parks, visit Watsonville and pretend you are in a pleasant Mexican village, visit one of the local wetland parks for birding, visit UCSC and see the most beautiful science library in the world...or, visit the board walk. Enjoy the town. about 8 years ago

How long is the drive from San fransisco to montery?

Plan on closer to 2.5-3 because there is never no traffic during the Summer (unless you do it late at night.) Take your time and enjoy the trip down the coast on highway 1 to Santa Cruz then on to Monterey. Just avoid Santa Cruz traffic from 3-6 pm. If you can, avoid the trip on a weekend afternoon when the traffic is at the worst. about 8 years ago
