What is there else to do in the Gold Coast apart from theme parks?

Swimming in our clean beaches and every surf club is licensed for meals and drinks. The mountains behind the coast have many great bush walks. Tambournine mountains is a cute village up on the mountains that is worthy of a day out. Gold Coast botanic gardens is 10 from Surfers Paradise and covers 31 hectares. Currumbin Rock Pool for a dip is 20 minutes from the coast and in a lush valley. Coastal walking paths that run along the beaches are easy to find. Do you need to bring a certain amont of cash in to Oz when just visiting on holiday?

I always like to have some local currency for any country that I visit but as ATMs are available anywhere in Australia getting cash is no problem. However be aware that when drawing out cash from an ATM that a fee is always charged per transaction. It is usually $5 here in Australia. Check with your own bank. There is a limit to how much cash you can bring into the country. Check with the Australian government web site as to how much you are allowed. It is a large amount and carrying huge amounts of cash could prove risky so I would not recomend carrying more than $1000.00. over 10 years ago
