Can anyone recommend reputable tour opperators in taman neggara?

These days visitors plan and drive straight to the park, simple & easy. Just google and book yr accommodation online based on reviews. The tours are actually provided by private operators located outside the park n they Also run the floating restaurants opposite the park entrance located across the river. Only activities within the park are organized by the park. Cheap accommodations range from RM40 per room, mainly for back packers. The rainforest Resort is a more comfortable option for guests with children. Th regular visitors normally stay 2-3 nights at most while those looking more unique experience (tracking deeper into the forest, watching more elusive animals deeper in the jungle or exploring caves further into the park) will stay an additional 5-7 days. Don't worry, just rent a car and drive straight to the park and figure the rest later (as long as it is not within a public holiday or a long weekend). I did just that and I had a wonderful time without any long wait in line for my turn on the park facilities.Hv fun n enjoy! about 8 years ago

Best place to go & hang out with Elephants in/around Kuala Lumpur?

Kalau Gandah elephant sanctuary is the place to visit for a truly great experience for yr family. You can call them in advance to have special reserved visitor passes to sit n ride or sit n splash with the elephants in the river. The park is free, open to public and run by the government but many tourist choose to arrange their visit through the tour guide to avoid disappointment or due to lack of time. The drive from kuala lumpur to the park is about 2 to 3 hrs. There's a deer farm next to the park if you have the time to visit. The elephant sanctuary is open in the morning till 5-6pm but the shows starts from 2.15pm till approx 4pm. The park official tel is +609-2790391 or www.wildlife.gov.my for more info. You will save on tour cost if you plan on yr own. Have fun. about 8 years ago

Where would be a best place to take photographs Penang .

Walk around Georgetown and u will see heaps of heritage buildings and restored colonial structures. Pick a free leaflet and you can spot your next best option. If you like panoramic shots, you can buy a ticket @ Komtar tower in Georgetown for a complete view of the city. If you like, consider a modern train ride up the Penang hill for nice view of Penang away from the city, best go at 5pm so u Cana enjoy a both day & night shots. Out of Georgetown, head to the botanical garden, the Kek Lok Si Temple or to Batu Ferringgi beach for some sunny beach shot. about 8 years ago

Kinabalu Park is my destination. What is the cheapest and fastest way to the Park. Rent a car or join a local tour? We are foursome.

Yes, it is best to take a van to the park but taking a taxi is also a better option tho it Is expensive @ approx RM150 (I think). But it is worth the comfort after a long day tracking down from Mount Kinabalu n yr legs are sooo sore. Accommodations are limited, book in advance or head to the nearest guesthouses nearby the park. about 8 years ago

Looking for eating tips while traveling from USA to Penang.

It's a food paradise in Penang, don't worry too much about what and where to eat. Perhaps if you want to try all kinds of food in one comfortable environment for a start, head on to New World food court, located next to Tune Hotel along Burma Road which is located within Georgetown. The main highlight is the shaven ice dessert termed locally as Ice Kacang loaded with fruits & sweet delicacies. Ample seating space and locals who can speak relatively understandable English. Enjoy. about 8 years ago

What can i do if go to kuantan holiday? ;)

You can stay @ Cherating Beach, 15 mins drive up north of Kuantan. Usually most travelers n backpackers will head to Kampung Cherating where there are quite a few backpackers' guesthouses. There is a quiet beach where you can relax or do a simple surfing as well. There is a turtle sanctuary which u can visit, located approx 3-4kms north of Kampung Cherating (next to Club Med). It has a hatchery facility and you can release baby turtles at 7.30pm right after their video presentation. Besides that, there is a fireflies tour by a popular private operator near Kampung Cherating. You need to do some googling on the net to find out more concerning the arrangement. The border of Terengganu is just 10 mins drive up north and you might want to visit the laid-back Malay state for their renowned traditional boat making sites or the chance to chance upon local coconut collectors that use monkeys to do the climbing and plucking. :) about 8 years ago
