    Oslo for 4 days

My family and I did oslo for 4 days during thanksgiving. I strongly suggest that you take the 20 minute express train to the city center and stay in the double tree hotel which is about three blocks away from the train station and in the middle of everything. It has to be one of the best hotels in Europe. Ensure that you go and visit the Viking ship museum which is a sigh within itself to see. That should really be your major attraction. Then ensure that you go to the Nobel peace center which is awesomeness at another level. About 100 meters away is the mall with good deals and my wife loved it. I forgot, buy the Oslo pass to get unlimited transportation around town, besides it gives you a 20% discount at tgi Fridays that will definitely come in handy. One appetizer, two dinners, and four drinks cost me $213 after the discount. Norway is Expensive! Try go to see their parliament buildings and and go and see their museums. Everything is really within waking distance and the Oslo pass will let you into most things at no additional expense. The pass is more of a guide, pass and discount card. Follow it and you will have a good time. over 8 years ago

I'm planning to have 8 days in Austria. Which is Better, to rent a private car or to use the public transport ? What about fuel price?

I must urge you to be careful if you are planning on driving in any European country. There are many hidden laws, fees and requirements depending on what you are doing. When driving in Austria on their autobahn or freeway ensure that you buy a vignette to put on your windshield or it could really cost you. The Austrians normally want their fines paid on the spot. over 8 years ago

Which part of Paris should I stay in if I am with children ?

I strongly recommend that you stay in Disneyland Paris, which is really 40 minutes from the city center. They are always running specials of sometimes up to 40% off and depending on how young your kids are, they can stay and play for free. The parks and hotels are right next to the metro station and there is a bus that will take you from the airport to the hotels and back. There are also trips to the city center by bus or you could just take the metro there. Ensure that you do some shopping at La Valle shopping Outlet, which you are guaranteed to find some good deals. If you stay in one of the Disney hotels then it is automatically 10% off. over 8 years ago
