Is it safe to travel to Nepal at the moment after the earthquake?

I would recommend giving the country a few days at least to recover from the devastation. Go if you must as not the whole country is affected, only some outlying areas but be aware that certain road corridors may still be impassible due to rockslides and surface damage. Off track but this article on tourist scams that I came across just before this message seems appropriate especially the last posting on Kathmandu, Nepal. about 8 years ago

Hi, I am planning to go for a vacation at Genting Malaysia. What advices you can give? What are the nice places to for and must try in?

Genting Malaysia is a casino resort up on a hilltop. The main attraction of course is the casino. There is a small lake with boating facility, a funland theme park with various fun rides and a tiny zoo. The only entertainment will be the daily cabaret floor shows held at its many restaurants. There is a temple nearby accessible by cable car that you can visit. Check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genting_Highlands about 8 years ago

What are your top tips on keeping your feet warm in a freezing cold hiking hut?

I would personally recommend heating pads that you can bring along on hikes. They are reusable, light and portable. Check this out: http://www.anywhereheatpads.com/hhpocket about 8 years ago

any events happening in Singapore tonight or saturday night? just arrived here in SG!

Oh yes, these places you must not miss as they are not available in Kathmandu, Nepal: the Singapore Flyer (similar to the London Eye, only taller); Sentosa UnderwaterWorld where you can observe fishes swimming in its natural habitat while you are in a glass tunnel; Marina Bay Casinos and Theme Park ( our latest and most elaborate entertainment center,); Little India and Chinatown, ( like nothing you have ever seen before); the Botanic Gardens Orchid Sanctuary, boasting the largest variety of orchids here in Asia beside Kew Gardens in London; sentosa island, East Coast Park and Pasir Ris park where you can enjoy fresh sea breeze and watch large tankers and ocean liners going by; try going up to the top of M ( 72 stories above street level) at the Westin Hotel ( the houses in Nepal seldom exceed three stories). Have an enjoyable stay here. Namaste Malai Nepali maan parche. about 8 years ago

Anyone know where to find a chocolate robot in Singapore?

If by chocolate robot you mean The Chocolate Robot Deck, you can find one at Margaret Drive just next to Queensway Secondary School. They stock a wide variety of chocolate robots there. You will find one to your specifications. Alternatively, do look up our Yellow Pages for stockists. You can also try eBay where there are many on sale. Good luck! about 8 years ago

Where to find cheap PS3 and unlocked iPhone. Returning to Singapore after 4 years.

You could try Funan Centre at Hill street where it is more reputable. Alternatively go to any large electrical department stores such as Courts, Harvey Norman, Challenger, Best Denki, Robinson's Home Electrical department etc. There is also Sim Lim Square (caveat emptor). You know the place if you are Singaporean. about 8 years ago

Is there a place for rent in Singapore for a family holiday? Good for 7 adults and 2 child planning to stay for 5 nights (Dec. 28-Jan. 1)?

You could try our seaside and beach chalets. They are open to the public and are clean and spacious with attached bathrooms and some with cooking facilities inclusive. Try the Downtown East Chalets and a resort called the Aloha Resort. There are theme parks, food and entertainment centers located within the chalet complex which will suit your family fine. Transportation into town is by public buses plying just outside the complex should you wish to explore Singapore further for upmarket shopping. There are swimming pools, barbecue pits, cinemas and entertainment centers in the complex to fill your days here. Do give it a try . The airport visitor's reception counter will be able to accommodate you should wish to make a chalet booking. Alternatively you could arrive at the complex proper to make a booking. Weekends, school holidays and public holidays will see large crowds there. If you prefer peace and quiet, do come on weekdays which will have less holiday makers around. Have an enjoyable stay in Singapore. Do give us your feedback after you returned home. Perchance we may be able to improve on our shortcomings if any. about 8 years ago
