I prefer las Rosas village too. They have better brands in my opinion. If you go by car you can visit both though. almost 8 years ago
Ribera del Duero is quite near. You can go to Peñafiel, where there is a nice wine museum and then visit some wineries around, some of them with excellent architecture. almost 8 years ago

I recommend using the left luggage at the airport and then take the express bus (2 eur 30 min) to Plaza Cibeles and from there walk in the city. There is a tourist info office right in the Plaza (in the city hall, impossible to miss) almost 8 years ago
