There are 100's of places to eat breakfast in Las Vegas. Of course every hotel has a buffet. The ones that stand out for me are: Excalibur and Harrah's. Great choie of food and very good price. also the America at NY NY offers a typical American breakfast for a reasonable price. Outside of hotels: Omelet House (Maryland Parkway & Rancho) or the Hash House (Decator) give great breakfast in quieter environment - no casino!. Like wise if it suits your needs, there is a Denny's on the strip near to Harrah's or an IHop between Sahara and Stratosphere. Amanda, there are indeed 100,s of places to eat on and off the strip in Vegas. You could probably eat every variation of ethnic food on the planet. All the resort Hotels have themed resaurants and fine dining by some of the Worlds greatest chefs. Everything is of course budget dependent so, I would say for the best value, then the buffets are great. Massive selections of food, all you can eat and great prices. lot of the resorts now offer an all day option, When you want to eat, where and how often. This can be obtained for a very reasonable price and is availble to use in all that resorts properties throughout the day. Not surprisingly the Wynn and Bellagio are the most expensive buffets but are superb, The Mirage, TI and Planet Hollywood are said to be as good but better priced, infact the Spice Market in Planet Hollywood is rumoured to be better than most! For fine dining, Picasso at Bellagio, Guy Savoy at Caesars and Aureole at Mandalay Bay are 3 of the best. The wine skyscraper with its wine angels at the Aureole is a sight to behold. Be prepared to be blown away with these 3. For good steaks, try Carnevino or Cut both at Palazzo, although quite pricey but I think the best Steak secret is at Steakhouse at Bill's Gamblin', the steak is just as good, the price superb and the decor is pure Old World Vegas! There are plenty of deli's and take aways for snacks etc but if you do fancy just simply one of the best and biggest sandwiches in Vegas, head for Canter's Deli in Treasure Island, its the best. Going to Vegas in Aug. It will be crazy hot so looking for a place with a great pool for 7 & 11 year old boys. Slides, falls and such.
There are mixed answers about kids in Vegas. Some years ago they actually tried to give Vegas a family and kids theme. This has for the most part gone now. I personally would stay clear of the stip with kids, the usual answers for the strip are, Circus Circus, Stratosphere, Excalibur. I would check out the Red Rocks or Station Casinos, the "Kids Quest" Clubs are a great choice and can be used for upto 5 hours daily. The kids get their own piece of Vegas!
