I will have 3 days in HK. Which HK foods should I taste during visit? Any recommendations for good restaurants are greatly appreciated.
Must try: 1. Xiao Long Bao and other dim sum treats at Din Tai Fung, Silvercord, Canton Road, TST and Causeway Bay branches 2. Roast goose at Yung Kee Restaurant, Wellington St., Central; 3. Hutong Restaurant, 28/F, One Peking Road, TST - fine cuisine and great views of Victoria Harbor 4. T'ang Court, Langham Hotel, Peking Road, TST - among the best Cantonese restaurants in HKG, a bit pricey but definitely worth the expense Note that there are a lot of great restaurants in Hong Kong. They range from elegant to hole- in-the-wall types. Part of the true HKG experience is experimentation and discovery. Happy dining! over 9 years ago

If you love seafood, then you must not leave Hong Kong without trying this place: Choi Kee Fried Crab Expert, G/F 8-10 Marsh Road, Wan Chai (852) 2891 5647, (852) 2891 7452 This looks like a hole-in-the-wall establishment, but is frequented by bankers and business people. Don't be turned off by the simple and unattractive furnishings. Affordable and delicious cuisine. Try the mantis and crab. Other seafood specialties too. Ask the gracious server-owners for suggestions. Don't miss out. It's best to phone ahead to reserve a table. They don't have that many on the premises. Enjoy! over 9 years ago
