Can anyone recommend a good place to stay for a few days in Bintan (Indonesia) ?

I stayed at the Banyan Tree in Bintan - I must say this has to be one of the best places I have stayed (and I have travelled alot!). The isnt anything to do in Bintan but stay in your hotel complex or play golf ( the most beautiful course ever) No shopping whatsover, but thats what Singapore is for. Pick a hotel that has the most amenities as like I say - not much to do here. The breakfast spread was the best I have ever eaten at and I would rank it as being the number one buffet in the world. The day spa at Banyan tree is so beautiful and discreet with the massage tables overlooking the Sth China Sea... Banyan Tree is of course pricey but I would most definately stay here again over 10 years ago

Has anyone been to merlin beach resort in phuket?

I have prior to the tsunami and it was beautiful... so spacious without the crowds. We are going back in March next year and contemplated staying there as they have great deals with the stay pay deals. Not sure where you are from but check out www.qantas.com.au for the best prices that I could find for that particular property. It has a small private beach also, but this is a fair walk from the rooms. The pool access rooms are bloody awesome although obviously not suitable for those with kids. about 10 years ago

travel time from singapore to legoland malaysia

This is a huge trip. I did it with my children about 4 weeks ago, and I honestly do not recommend it. We were collected from our Sentosa hotel at 8am. Taken to the bus depot. Left on the bus at 9.15. You get off the bus at Singapore customs.... then you get off yet again at Malaysian customs... filling out forms, processing passports blah blah... Finally about 1.5 hrs later you arrive... BUT the biggest pain of it all was getting back You have to again fill out forms at both customs, get all of your personal belongings x-rayed. So its about 6pm when you finally get back into Singapore to.........PEAK HOUR traffic. We arrived back at our hotel absolutely exhausted and shattered at 8PM!!!! Never again! almost 9 years ago
