Travelled all over but there's no place like home...
I wondered about this when I was planning my honeymoon. The North started shelling South Korea and advisory notices went up on the FCO. We decided to go to Japan instead, but the tsunami and earthquake hit 3 days before travel... Anyway, when I enquired about safety I sought advice from colleagues who had people in offices in South Korea. Basically, it was "don't worry". There is always tension between the North and South regardless of military action. Take all the necessary precautions and check with your FCO. almost 8 years ago
My now ex made us go on the Sex and the City Tour which caused irreparable damage to my psyche. However, one of the highlights was the visit to Magnolias. Having said that, I'm not sure if it was because I was bored out of my skull or hungry, but it tasted great. If the length of the queue outside was anything to go by, then a good number if people would probably vote this place as the best. I've since had better cupcakes, but that was in another city in another country... almost 8 years ago
I'll be in HK over wkend, where can I go for Tim Sum? I'll be stay at Tsim Sha Tsui or Mongkok area. Can anybody advise? Thanks in advance.
Ah, of course. How could I forget about Maxims? There is a HUGE one in Shatin New Town Plaza. Possibly worth the trip on the MTR from TST for the gabillion types of dim sum there. almost 8 years ago
