Depends on what you like: Gràcia is vibey, like a small village. Born is hip. Sarrià is posh. Eixample is centric and everything is at hand. Ciutat Vella is decadent, medieval, vibey, trashy, charming, dark. Poble Sec has a weird mix of immigrants and catalans. Horta, Poble Nou are middle-working class. almost 8 years ago
Hi, could anyone advise in which area the central business district of Barcelona is and Is the CBD area lively at night?
There is no CBD. Central point is Plaça Catalunya. Eixample is central, loads of businesses, shops, places to go out. Barcelona is small, so if you are staying in the Eixample you can go out to neighbourhoods like Gràcia, Born, Barceloneta. almost 8 years ago
3 boys heading to Barca for 1 week now in July.We need a cheap place to stay+tips on great bars, clubs, beach areas and places to meet girls
Ciutat Vella has many hostels, loads of foreign students. Barceloneta is ok if you like beaches, crowds, cheap bars and groups of girls. You'll probably end up parading up and down Las Ramblas, together with hundreds of other boys and girls looking to meet people and partying. Beware of pickpockets. almost 8 years ago
