Aruba is most economical between April 15 and December 15 which is considered the off/low season. The Christmas period is probably the most expensive and busiest. A couple of good and reasonably priced all-inclusives are the Divi and Tamarijn. http://www.visitaruba.com/divi-aruba-all-inclusive/ http://www.visitaruba.com/tamarijn-all-inclusive/ about 8 years ago
What is snorkeling like in Aruba? Is there easy access near most beaches, or can it be tricky/require a boat trip, drive?
You can easily snorkel right off the beach in Aruba. Try Boca Catalina (http://www.visitaruba.com/experience-aruba/aruba-beaches/#item_2) or Arashi ( http://www.visitaruba.com/experience-aruba/aruba-beaches/#item_1) which are both less than 5 minutes away from the main hotel area of Palm Beach. The advantage of a boat trip is that you can get to certain areas more easily while getting to see more of the island's coast. For a really nice sailing/snorkeling trip check out the Tranquilo: http://www.visitaruba.com/experience-aruba/attractions-and-activities/the-tranquilo about 8 years ago
