Best tour to take in Philadelphia?

In the past during the summer, the local college kids used to work with the city and perform in character representing the worldwide known legends such as Betsy Ross, or Ben Franklin, etc... right in front of the historical site, it was called the "walking tour" or something like that. It was really great and was FREE! Taking one of the Horse drawn carriages in the fall or even winter is always enjoyable. Nice pace, just make sure you get a good, knowledgable, and safe driver. almost 8 years ago

Which tour group is the best one day tour to Big Island, Hawaii?

Stay away from "Lava Boat Tours" as the owners will tell you the seas are great, when in fact on the north shore they can be huge for small boats. No Aloha spirit there brudda! Much better choice is to take Blue Hawaii Helicopter tours. They are the safest and you will never see an active volcano like this from any other view point. Well worth the price!! almost 8 years ago

    Big Island Tsunami

We were out there right when the Tsunami hit, on Big Island about a 2 foot Tsunami hit, no real major damage, except down in Kailua-Kona area of which about 8 houses on the beach were damaged with one being ripped off of it's foundation and pulled out to sea. The Waikoloa Beach Resort's "ancient fish pond wall" got completely blown out and a channel was opened up to the sea. Other than that most beaches were not affected. If you are asking "could a Tsunami hit the Big Island?" The answer is yes but getting up country would take no time at all, plus the US Pacific Rim buoy system is so good, most likely plenty of warnings would by provided, so no fear there. almost 8 years ago

We want to fly into St. Thomas and take a ferry over to The BVI due to the huge difference in the airfare. any tips to make the trip easier?

Re-read your question; if you are making a day trip and have a car then park across the street in Red Hook and leave the car for a lower price than on Ferry parking site. Pack a picnic lunch, and depending on the time of year lot's of liquids to rehydrate, also bring a backpack with snorkeling gear unless tank diving. You can go on-line and print out your BVI Customs Entrance forms and fill them out ahead of time as filling out for,s while waiting in customs lines will eat up a lot of time. Have Passports ready along with Pre-filled out forms, also bring extra empty backpack for all the great gifts you will want to buy. Also indulged in a "flying fish sandwich", a local favorite and real treat! Goes great with local beer! almost 8 years ago
