Definitely second the Chuy's! I work there and eat most of my meals there. Make sure to ask for creamy jalapeno when they bring your complimentary chips and salsa! Boom boom is a great sauce too for your burrito or enchilada. I was actually unaware that there is such a thing as pork-based bbq. All the aforementioned bbq places are fabulous. In a couple weeks, a New York Italian restaurant will be opening in the W hotel called Coal Vine's. I'll be working there and if it's anything like the one I worked at in Dallas, it will be phenomenal. It specializes in New York style pizza, thin crust cooked in a coal burning oven, but also has salads, appetizers(salmon tartar is amazing!), pasta, and fish dishes. over 8 years ago
Jovitas is nice, plenty of live music. Draughthouse is a my husbands and I's favorite. Make sure you try a 512 pecan porter...amazing. over 8 years ago
Any tips for a nice hotel in downtown Austin? Looking for something like the "w" or westin, but not as pricey.
The Hilton is nice and I don't think it's as expensive as the W over 8 years ago
Going to a concert at House of Blues in Dallas. Any suggestions about how early to arrive or what to expect?
Parking can be crazy, you will definitely want to valet with House of Blues. They have many different rooms for concerts, who are you going to see? Are your tickets standing room or do you have seats? What time is the concert? over 8 years ago
