I am going to Hong Kong for a week. Is it possible to take a daytrip to the main land or other islands? Do we need a visa for such trips?
In Shenzhen / Luohu, there are many A Grade counterfeit products (such as watches, bags, clothes, suitcases, golf equipment & etc), tailors (decent quality & inexpensive), home furnishing and massage places. A full day should be enough (need a visa though). There are nice islands around Hong Kong, a great way to take a break from the city life. James gave you a very detailed answer, he knows Hong Kong well. BTW, Hong Kong is duty free, so shopping in general is cheaper than most countries in Asia. Check out the nightlife there, it is quite happening. Have a good trip there. over 9 years ago

Best things to see and do in the Philippines?
For city travel, Manila's Greenbelt area. It is pretty safe there as long as you stay within the area. Many security guards around for protection and help. Food is inexpensive and good. They love to eat pork and if you're a fan, then you will really enjoy their local food. over 9 years ago
