What's the best way to Niigata from Nagasaki?

You might be able to find a short plane ride to take to the Niigata airport, which is nice and about half an hour from Niigata, city, I think. The 4 hour bus ride from Niigata to Yamagata is beautiful, also. about 8 years ago

I'm looking for a good, reasonably priced place to stay in Kyoto. Any help would be much appreciated!

Http://en.hostel-mundo.com/overview.php | Hostel Mundo is a really old house in Kyoto run by a young family man. He was super friendly and helped us plan our day trips. It was very memorable. about 8 years ago

Which area in Osaka is safe, not so expensive and not far from Kyobashi? Thank you.

I stayed at an old hotel that has a public bath at Doubutsuen Mae station. It's a seedy part of town with a lot of elderly and working class. But, the hotels there are cheap and a step from the subway. I stayed at Hotel Taiyo. www.hotel-taiyo.com/en/map_e.html about 8 years ago

What are the best temples and gardens in Kyoto?

It seems like you could get a day bus pass as you get on a city bus and just see them at your leisure, if you have time. I found the bus routes to be very convenient and easy to understand. We didn't plan ahead at all and just tried to efficiently hit temples in a loop. about 8 years ago

How safe is Lima at night?

I stayed with a family that had me on alert constantly, even during the day, if that stays anything. I was told by complete strangers to conceal my camera. about 8 years ago

We'd like your suggestions about going to Machu Pichu, Peru. Places to stay? Foods? Time of year? Trekking companies?

I had an amazing stay at a custom built, walled-in hotel called Villa Pachatusan | www.peru-hotel.net/villa_pachatusan.htm | hosts will need to drive you into town and will work with a tour agency for you. They are friends of people I knew in the US and I trust them. about 8 years ago

What can I eat in Japan?

If in Osaka, I recommend trying the various takoyaki joints. If you see someone poking little balls of batter with a toothpick, it's probably takoyaki. Very tasty and cheap. I believe that the region is known for it. about 8 years ago
