I am headed to Freeport Maine on vacation. What are some fun things to do?

Spend a few hours at LL Bean. It's enormous and there are many stores then head to Haraseeket to get a fresh lobster roll on the water. Haraseeket is famous for their food and has been featured on the travel channel and food network a few times. You can also buy live lobsters pretty much off the boats here too. The outlets downtown are great and be sure to checkout Patagonia and The Maingey Moose or Cool-as-a-Moose for cool Maine souvenirs and clothing. over 8 years ago

    best beach in new jersey?

Manasquan. Beautiful beaches that are wide and not as super crowded as some others in NJ and great waves. Probably one of the best bogey board and surf spots in nj. Check out letters for good food and a cold beer, right on 1st Avenue. Walk down to the Manasquan inlet to see all of the boats coming and going and see Point Pleasant across the way. The dog beach along the inlet and river is nice as well. Enjoy! over 8 years ago

I am looking for a short cooking course in shanghai that specialises in Chinese cuisine and dim-sum

I don't know of one personally but you can consult smartshanghai.com or city weekend.com.cn. They should have plenty of info on that. Maybe also try shanghaiexpat.con over 8 years ago

Any info on apartments to share with English speaking expats, 21 year old guy moving to shanghai for a 6 month internship

Downtown is not very cheap. I live in a building that's not super new but nice in Jing'an thats a mix of expats and locals and we pay 6000rmb per month. My friends around the city pay about 3500 to 7000 for a decent apartment. If you want an old, very Chinese building with no elevator and shitty insulation (honestly almost all buildings here are built crappy, mine included) you can go cheaper but it will be much older and small. Probably not in city center either. Look in northern Jing'an and Zhabei. Both nice areas and you can just pop into any of the 1 million property rental offices. You should find English speaking agent in some. over 8 years ago

We are going to noosa on holiday, any places and things we have to do while we are there?

Check out the Australia Zoo. Buses depart daily from Noosa and it's the best Zoo I've ever been to. It's owned and operated by Steve Irwins family and its very, very interactive and you have numerous chances to interact with the animals. In Noosa we rented scooters right in town and zipped off down the coast and inland a bit for the afternoon. The electric ones don't require a license and it's affordable and fun. A wonderful way to see the beautiful area around Noosa. I would head to Peterpan's Travel agency in Noosa and check in with them. They will help you find things to do while you are in Noosa and can help you plan, book and research things. Please ask for Penny and tell her Chris says hello :) over 8 years ago
