Has anyone has used airbnb to book accommodation in NYC? Is it ok? Also, upper East Side, Downtown, Village, Westside etc....where to stay?
We stayed in St Marks Place, East Village in October in an apartment booked through airbnb. The booking process was very easy and we had no problems. I would certainly use it again. The neighbourhood you choose will depend on what you like. For shopping and shows, midtown is probably better, if you want a more neighbourhood feel then the Village might be more for you. In the East Village some apartments can be very noisy (particularly if first floor above a bar) so you might want to ask the renter if that would be a problem for you about 9 years ago

What are the age limits for drinking and children in pubs in England ?
18 is the legal drinking age in England, although you can have wine with a meal at 14 providing you are with an adult. Some pubs allow under 18s on the premises (normally if they sell food) again providing they are accompanied by an adult, but others only admit over 18s. almost 9 years ago

We will be traveling from New York City up the East coast. Can anyone recommend places to stay from NYC to Maine? Love the great outdoors .
We did this two years ago. We flew into New York and drove to Maine to pick our daughter up from camp. Loved - in no particular order - Boston, Portsmouth, Mystic, Cape Cod (P'town is wild!). We planned to drive up the coast the whole way but ended up going inland for a bit when the forecast wasn't great and found some fantastic towns. I would recommend being flexible rather planning too much in advance almost 9 years ago
