Where can I find a list of current airline promotions in and out of Adelaide?

Are you travelling from an international destination or a local one? If local, then Tiger (from Melbourne) and Jetstar are the cheapest (usually). The other two are Virgin Australia and Qantas, occasionally having good deals. Internationally you can fly direct from Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Auckland (and others?) about 8 years ago

Does anyone have any broad information on travelling to Poland. I am interested in exploring the post communist era and contemporary life.

One surprising place is Kalwaria Zebrzydowska south of Cracow. It's a 1 hour bus ride from Cracow, which tends to be full of tourists, but Kalvaria is 100% Polish (means Calvary) and emphasises the very strong connection with the Catholic Church. From there you can visit Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains on the border of the Czech Republic. All places are quite free of the ever present north American tourists. If you want a local stay contact Ryszard Zurek at atesthurt@op.pl. He rents an apartment for Polish people but is a great host. His family is a tragic story of Poland starting with his grandfather losing his life at Katyn, then he has family stories of the Nazis and the Communists which put into perspective the 40 years of Polish trauma in the 20th C. We met him in Iran and he invited us to visit and were so glad to have had the opportunity of seeing the real Poland. Oh yes, and don't forget Auschwitz, or Oświęcim, a must ! Also, you can take Soviet era tours of Cracow - all very kitsch. over 8 years ago
