can you get a travel permit to tibet from hong kong?

To get Tibet travel permit you need to send copy or scan of your passport and Chinese visa (if it is required based on your citizenship) to your travel agency. Once your permit is ready, they will mail to you an original permit. There are no direct flights or trains from Hong Kong to Tibet, so you will need to make a stop in one of the cities in China to transfer to a flight or train to Tibet. You can pick up your permit at the city where you are transferring. More on visa and Tibet travel permit here: https://wondersoftibet.com/plan-your-trip/visa-tibet-travel-permit/ over 1 year ago

    Travel around Lhasa

Dear Susan, I highly recommend looking for a Tibetan owned and operated company. They have the best guides and drivers and you can make good friends in Lhasa. There are a few possible treks not far from Lhasa. Trekking around Pabongka monastery is the nice day trek near Lhasa. For longer treks one of the most beautiful ones is from Ganden to Samye monastery. You should contact travel agency to arrange all necessary permits for you and help with your travel plans: https://wondersoftibet.com/ over 1 year ago

Traveling to Lhasa in sept and concerned about altitude. Any posts?

Most of the people can naturally acclimatize to Lhasa altitude, but some have symptoms of altitude sickness. It is impossible to predict how you will react unless you already traveled in high altitude areas. The good news is that for most, all symptoms will disappear in a couple of days. It is important to get plenty of rest and sleep, not to exert yourself, drink plenty of water and take it slowly.
