October, because it's cool enough to wear jeans, not too cold that you need to wear a jacket, and not hot & humid...the leaves (the few we have) are changing colors, there's apple cider in the farmers markets & everybody's seemingly upbeat. Winter's also great with the tree lit, ice skating & first snowfall. over 6 years ago
Take a train from Delhi to Amritsar, enjoy the Golden Temple, great food & an easy ride there. Then take a train or bus towards Dharamsala through Pathankot. It's not as windy & nauseous as going straight from Delhi and will let you see one of India's proudest cities on way to the Tibetan community around Dharamsala/McLeod Ganj. over 7 years ago
Going to NYC July 2-5. Any suggestions on best views of fireworks, as well as July 4th celebrations?
Rooftop bars on the west side between 14th & 58th will be best. You can also go to a park, like Battery Park, Hudson River Park, High Line, or Boat Basin. Those will all be great viewing spots. The fireworks used to be on the East River...the past few years they've been over the Hudson, this year included. I plan on doing one of those or going to a friends apartment on the west side like I did last year. over 7 years ago
