Is there a place in Austria with snow 12 months / year?

The only truly all year open ski resort is Hintertux Glacier, it is in the Ziller valley about half an hour from Mayerhofen. You can also do a cave tour inside the glacier which looks quite interesting. I was there last August skiing in shorts! check it out. http://www.hintertuxergletscher.at/en/ almost 8 years ago

What is the best mountain to ski in Austria?

Of course this is personal preference but Ischgl and St Anton are both up there in the top ski areas in Tirol, both are just over an hour from Innsbruck. almost 8 years ago

Where is nice place to ski? What state should I prefer if I like to get hotel for good price. And what month is the best for skiing?

Ischgl or St Anton any month when there is snow but March is Warmer of course, both these resorts have a good altitude of skiing up to around 2800 meters which means plenty of good snow still in the later months of winter. In Ischgl for example the season does not end until the first weekend in May! You can also ski over into Switzerland and have lunch on that side in the resort of Samnaun. almost 8 years ago

What can you tell me about skiing in Austria? Thank you.

There are more than 600 ski resorts in Austria ranging from small villages with just a couple of lifts to big commercial ski resorts. If you are going early or late in the season then you will want to go to a resort with a high altitude to guarantee the snow conditions. Most of the more popular resorts have a very modern lift system meaning minimal queues. Most also offer amazing toboggan/Sledge runs which are fun for all. The food is good the people are friendly and the Apres Ski is the best found anywhere in Europe. The cost is also reasonable by comparison to other western European ski resorts like France and Switzerland. Go there and you won't regret it it is quite simply amazing. almost 8 years ago

We are going to the UK for 4 weeks and will have a car, will our Australian driver's licence be ok to use?

No Problem at all, I frequently visit the UK and Rent Cars on my Australian License without any problems. I use www.Economycarrentals.com you will find they are reasonable price wise and include all extras and excess charges. Be warned though the hire companies will still try to sell you extra insurance which you will not necessarily need. Have a good Trip! almost 8 years ago
