Where should I book a trip to Uyuni Salt Flats?

Loads of offices, there will probably be a tour free on the day you want, unless you're in a big group. Also you can check out the quality of the meals/vehicles/drivers better in person, you can always get a taxi to the train graveyard to pass the time, there's also a trip to the working silver mine in Potosi to consider, I'd just turn up, you won't be seriously inconvenienced IMO. Curiously some tour companies weren't accepting people from certain countries and the hostels weren't too friendly, even quite hostile... Uyuni wasn't the best first impression of Bolivia for me (glad to say it wasn't representative of the whole country!) Any time you can spend on the salt flats is good! Magical place, sleeping an extra night to catch the sunset/rise on the flats themselves (not just the geysers) is wonderful, take a camera (and shades!) over 8 years ago
