I flew it recently and it took around an hour on Thai Airways, very quick. I understand that you can also take night buses from Poipet to Phnom Penh which is around 8 hours. Flights are pretty cheap these days, so I'm likely to stick to air. about 3 years ago

I have travelled back and forth between Bangkok and Phnom Penh a good bit. It really depends on how much of an explorer you are. Truly, the flight is the easiest, safest and fairly cheap. Time of trip is short, maybe an hour (not counting airport time). If you want to fly, search the airlines for the cheapest flight. I am a bit of an explorer so take a train (maybe six hours) to the Thai border city of Aranyaprathet, a tuk tuk to the border, walk across into Cambodia and from Poipet (just across) take a bus into Phnom Penh. about 3 years ago
