When will the ferry strike end?

about 3 years ago about Greece

We are stranded in Ayvalik, Turkey. We were supposed to take a ferry to Lesvos today at 18:00 but a general port/ferry strike stopped us. I can't seem to find out when it will end. Is there a website we can go to for up to the minute details?

Dawn, it's supposedly a 24 hour strike, finishes at midnight.
There is an excellent website which updates travellers on all sorts of disruptions etc. It's a bit hard to navigate, scroll down for Greece.

But what it says is this:
Greek general strike Tues/Wed June 28 and 29
Update:-28 June for Ferries. Piraeus port authorities recommend to ask for information before reaching Piraeus, tel. nr ( ++30) 210-4226000 or 210-4147800.Greek Seamen Federation(PNO) will strike for 24 hours a “warning” strike of all seamen in all ports of Attica area (around Athens included, Piraeus, Lavrio, Rafina etc) from 00.01 till 24.00,Thursday 30 June 2011. Expect more to come. Ports of Rafina and Lavrio are not on strike and ferries depart on time.

28 June Acropolis maybe open today and tomorrow.
