Where is the best place to go during December in Australia?
We were thinking off travelling up north by the coast but not sure if thats the greatest idea due to wet season

Hi Anni! Where are you currently? I used to live near Byron Bay and absolutely loved it in December. If you're looking for more than beaches maybe head straight to Cairns? SO many recreational water activities there. Let me know if I can help with any other specific areas. 6 months ago

I do not think Cairns is a good idea this time of the year! You might blow away in a cyclon! 6 months ago

Over the New Year there is a fantastic music and arts festival just west of Brisbane in Woodford. "Woodford Folk Festival" http://www.woodfordfolkfestival.com.au/
It goes for about 7 days starting boxing day, and ends on 1st Jan with a brilliant Fire Festival. You can camp there as well, or stay in close bye Caboulture or Maleny and drive. (there may be shuttle buses). 6 months ago -
Australia is huge, you will need to be more specific as to which state you are intending to go to. You can't go in the water in northern Queensland in summer, stingers, crocodiles? 5 months ago
